OOoohh Sheeshh... That complicates things. I'm on Mac and don't own any real synths, so working around that is beyond my expertise. :( Hopefully, someone else can help you out.

but changing the grid to 1/128 instead of 1/16 like in the example whould help to smooth it out, no?

Unfortunately no. The knob rotation record is not related to the grid.
