little chaos

Just got my Keyboard (B-Stock from Thomann) a few days ago.

When I tried to intall everything available in NA it just stopped after half of it, just started saying 'download failed' afterwards.

Ableton Live Lite (which came with it) stopped being able to read the Plugins.
I moved around the VST-files. Now I can "only" play the standard instruments.

My pedals also don't work, even tho I set up everything like in YT-tutorials.
I don't think plugging em in before installing the drivers has anything to do with it, but I'll say it anyways.

Should I just deinstall & reinstall it all?
Would I need to do sth about the 'Hardware-Serial'-Code before doing that?

Thx in advance.

Be sure to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS from here

Then please follow the How to set up your Kontrol S-Series MK3

    Quote Matthew_NI :

Also make sure that the Hardware Connection Service is running and that the Kontrol MK3 can see it. Note that the hardware connection service should be started automatically when you open Komplete Kontrol software for example.

You can verify that the Kontrol Mk3 is connected to the HCS by going to Settings > general > agent version on the device, it should say version 1.9.4 (or higher ?) . If it doesn't, try a different USB-C cable, and/or a USB-C hub instead of connecting directly.

Else then when the above is checked and done then report back and tell us the exact problem , e.g. in case of download or install problem then please give us the exact error or screenshot of error.

Also make sure you have enough drive space to support everything you are installing.

I deleted NA & NTKDaemon rebooted the PC, and downloaded 3.18.0 (not 3.18.1, nothing works there).

Could download 2 more things, but the rest is stuck in installation.

The Apps don't give out sounds through NA, only through the DAW.

Ableton doesn't load all Plugins tho, some still crash it. Some Instruments also bug sometimes and have background-noise so I have to restart the piano.

    Pedals still don't work.

What do you mean "Apps don't give out sounds through NA" ? N.A. downloads and activates it doesn't make any sounds.

    NA → KompleteKontrol / Kontakt Player (X)
    DAW → Kontakt-Plugin (+)

Both show sth is played visually, but I only hear sth in the DAW.

Sorry I do not follow , what is your DAW and are you saying that the Kontakt plugin makes sound inside your DAW but the standalone Kontakt does not ?

    KompleteKontrol / Kontakt Player (X)

Have you setup Midi and Audio as you must do in Komplete Kontrol standalone ? and in Kontakt standalone ? Else please give screenshot of the in-app settings.

There was an "Ableton Lite Live"-Key in the package as some partner-program stuff.

I had the wrong driver loaded, but the Plugins don't load via NA.
All the settings are the same now everywhere, only that there is an extra "MIDI"-option via NA.

KP7 is working, KP8 isn't connected to the Piano-Keys, only the screen.
KK doesn't load anything, but idk, probably not necessary then, tho idk abt where or how pedals are set.

Please refer to the apps by their proper name rather than calling apps that are not N.A. for N.A. , it is extremely confusing when you keep referring to things by wrong name.

There is no Midi settings in N.A. , but there is in Komplete Kontrol and in Kontakt , please setup both Komplete Kontrol and Kontakt as should be. :

Configuring Audio and MIDI Settings in Komplete Kontrol [VIDEO]

But please notice that some drivers and some settings will not allow for the app to make sound when general Windows apps such as browser are running or the other way around. Therefore when testing audio then make sure that you are running only e.g. Komplete Kontrol and have other apps closed and same goes when using DAW. ASIO drivers are grabbing exclusive driver access , which can be turned off but might still not work depending on what apps are running and the driver settings… But I can not get any overview of what you have going on or your general settings. I use certain configuration myself which is what I know.

Try Resetting the Komplete Kontrol Database
