I just bought kontakt 8 and I can't install it, I installed native access but only kontakt player appears. No library appears, nothing. Where can I download kontakt 8 and how do I register?

Native Access handles everything. However - the version of Native Access you are using AND your OS in use matters as well.

You need to using Native Access v3.17.0 (or higher).

For OS - your Profile indicates Windows 10 - but be sure that should be Win 10 22H2.

Finally - ensure you actually can see your Kontakt 8 Full License in your NI account by using the correct account credentials and log into your account via the Native Instruments website.

If you see Kontakt 8 Full in your account - it should be in your Native Access view.

AND - if you already had K8 Player installed - the actual "full" software is identical. I do not believe you have to reinstall or do anything. Native Access should simply "enable" your full license.

As a test - just open K8 and confirm you still see the Player "banner" inside of it. "Full" does not have this banner. If you do see a banner - then you either are logged in the wrong account (in Native Access) or there is something else going on here.

A screencap of what your Native Access "Library" window would be helpful.

As already suggested by VocalPoint then make sure that you are logged into the correct account in the latest version of Native Access for your OS.

You can check on the MY PRODUCTS, SERIALS, AND DOWNLOADS page which products are registered to your account. If you have a serial that is not registered then use in the Add Serial in the latest version of Native Access for your OS.

If your Kontakt 8 is registered to your account and you are logged into correct account and it still does not show in Native Access then you can try the following Trouble shooter here : My Products Are Showing As DEMO in Native Access , especially '2. Your activation fails because of corrupted or missing activation tokens' and '3. You have corrupted XML files' (delete both NA XML and Kontakt 8 product XML) then restart computer and log in again to see if that helps

I can't read that. It says "i have other questions: 1." and that's all that shows. Please reformat and retry.

hello. I see that my entire comment appears. so can someone help me understand how kontakt 8 works?. I switched from kontakt 5 to 8 and I can't find out if kontakt 8 has the function of searching for instruments by name, in kontakt 5 I could add the location of personal instruments in the database, I would update and search for them by name. please, at least tell me if kontakt 8 has this function. I searched on google but I can't find anything concrete anywhere.

Sometimes it can be a bit difficult to understand what it is that people wants but are you by any chance looking for the Adding a Non-Player Library to Kontakt's Library Browser ? (Using unlicensed libraries with Kontakt requires full version of Kontakt which you of course already have bought)

As for the searching then Kontakt 8 allow you to use the search field to search for both name of library as well as preset names :

Either you didn't understand the question and what I want, or I'm clueless. I don't want to search for presets or libraries, I want to be able to search for personal instruments, like I did in Kontakt 5. It seems to me that you are avoiding answering me directly.

The issue with this post is that you have now changed the boundaries.

When the thread started it was about getting Kontakt 8 going - and I assume that is working.

Now you are taking another tangent into another question.

Suggest you start a new thread - complete with screencaps on what you mean your by “searching” for personal instruments.

I must be honest - I do not know what this means but I suspect it has something to do with having Kontakt in “classic” mode vs Library view. This is easy to do by simply clicking the word Library up top.
