Edit copied pattern changes original pattern?

Hi, I'm new to Maschine (Mikro).

I recorded a pattern in my drums group. I duplicated the pattern within the drum group in order to modify it for use in a different scene. Unfortunately all changes I make in the copied pattern change the original pattern as well. Thanks for advice how to avoid this behaviour.

    If your settings look like Jeremy's screenshot and you're duplicating the scene; the patterns are not going to be unique. You'll have a unique scene that's reusing existing patterns. Personally, I prefer this. I'd take the extra step to manually right click and duplicate a pattern if I want a copy of a pattern.

    The drop down above the green box in his screenshot has an option to duplicate both scene and patterns. Use that, duplicate the scene and it's going to duplicate every pattern in your scene. I find this messy, but maybe you'd prefer it.
