Is there a way to hide manually uninstalled NI Applications from Native Access Mac

I want to get rid of old applications after I upgrade. It's ok for me to keep the old libraries (which are separate installs anyway), but the legacy applications, plug-ins, databases, device drivers etc. have to go. Especially if they are plug-in hosts on their own.

I upgraded to Machine 3 and followed the manual uninstall procedure to remove Maschine 2.

However, Native Access wants to repair it, thwarting all my efforts. Machine 2 appears also in updates.

Is there any way to get it to not installed status or even better hide it completely from Native Access?

Uninstallation from NA directly should be coming in the (far?) future (at least so they said).

Also hiding is not a possibility atm: all your owned products will always appear in NA.

    Sorry, no luck

I certainly don't want to wait until NI finally comes up with something to remedy the situation. I am not even asking for a complete uninstaller.

Setting the status to not installed by deleting a plist file or fiddling in a database should still be possible, I hope?

    I tried removing the file

    /Users/Shared/Native Instruments/installed_products/Maschine 2.json

but this didn't solve the issue, Native Access simply restores the file and still wants to repair Maschine 2.

I've been trying to get NI chat support and email ticket support to help me with the same issue. I literally can't get a response. Is NI support really that terrible? (New here.)

No need to contact support. There is no facility within Native Access to hide products whether not installed or previously installed (and then uninstalled)

Best play if it really bothers you is not to click on the Available view.

Good to know what/not to hope for from NI, sort of. In terms of view… I actually see Kontakt (6) and Kontakt 7 listed both in All and Installed, but not in Available.

Everything (regardless of its installed status) will show in All.

And of course, if K6/K7 are Installed - makes sense they will not show in Available (Which really means Not Currently Installed)
