How can I change the default user library folder?
Hi community! I recently upgraded from Maschine 2 to Maschine 3 software, and whenever I record a sample, it saves it in the Maschine 2 legacy standard user directory. How can I change this to store it in the newly created Maschine 3 Standard User Directory?
I appreciate any help you can provide.
Ron

Nope, there is no similar registry, or other type of entry of any kind for Maschine 3…
I had the same issue and what i did was to move everything from Maschine 2 legacy user folder, to Maschine 3 user folder, then completely delete the legacy Maschine 2 folder.
On first save, the software asked once for the old folder, then i directed it to the new one, and that's it. Now it saves on M3 folder.

Since I do neither have a Maschine nor the Maschine 3 software then I can not check for you but : Quote Maschine 3 manual page 441/444 (the manual is linked to on the Maschine 3 downloads page) :
Location and name of your recorded Samples
By default, recorded Samples (takes) are saved in the Recordings subfolder of your Standard
User Directory, as defined on the User pane of the Library page in the Preferences panel (see
Preferences – Library page). If you activate the Prefer Project Folder option on the General page
of the Preferences panel (see Preferences – General page), recorded Samples will be saved
instead in a Recordings subfolder of the folder where your current Project is saved. From what I have read then you could possibly have to do a re-scan after changing settings (?)

Hey, @PoorFellow thanks for the info. I had taken a look at the manual before and saw this same part but for some reason, the legacy folder remains as the main folder to store the user files. I've enabled the scan of user content at start but I can't see any changes.

Thank you Sunborn , so (as expected) a minor bug with respect to when upgrading from Maschine 2 to Maschine 3 software then. Great that it is so easy to fix. Alas I have neither Maschine hardware nor Maschine 3 software so impossible for me to experiment with.
