What's up with flexible beatgrids>
Before the latest update, adding beatgrids did a great job keeping everything in sync. Now the space between beatgrids is blacked out. Also you can't set a new downbeat. I was able to use the jog wheel to get to the place where I wanted a beatgrid and it worked perfect. Now when I do that it gets everything off track. What gives?

bha returns to the sources, mixing by ear and pitch....Native since 2004 has still not understood that DJs want a Flexgrid like Serato..

what do you mean? flexible beatgrids work great. what do you mean "the space is blacked out"?

some DJs want a flexgrid like Serato. I certainly don't. Traktor's solid grid is better than a flex grid unless you have fluctuating tracks.
OP, can you provide more detail about what you're doing? Maybe a video? They work fine for me.
I have a suspicion: if you have a section at one tempo, make sure you set a beatmarker at the end of that section too, on the last beat where you consider it to still be the same BPM. This way it won't stretch the beats on that section to match where you're putting in your new beatmarker on the next section..
This provides a good way of thinking about it, each beatmarker bookends tempo zones. Each zone has to have an integer number of beats, so if the song skips or has an extra fraction of a beat, you might want to make a zone just for that bar, so it doesn't mess with the overall tempo. Then you'll notice if you try to adjust the BPM for that zone, it will jump to values that allow an integer number of beats.

Well, that's precisely why a Flex grid is used...lol no point otherwise. LOL

Exactly. Is it worth messing up the grid of tracks which don't fluctuate for it?

Is it worth releasing something that was already present on TP3? ..scuse but putting grid points was already the case eh...as for the usefulness, sorry I still don't see, while the Flexgrid in the serato, was already requested by the beta testers for Traktor Scratch....

during the prod beta tests of Traktor Scatch (after Traktor dj Studio 3.3) a lot of DJs brought up the fact of having a Flexgrid like serato..that was 20 years ago..and there Native still hasn't Understood..
