What's up with flexible beatgrids>

bha returns to the sources, mixing by ear and pitch....Native since 2004 has still not understood that DJs want a Flexgrid like Serato..

some DJs want a flexgrid like Serato. I certainly don't. Traktor's solid grid is better than a flex grid unless you have fluctuating tracks.

OP, can you provide more detail about what you're doing? Maybe a video? They work fine for me.

I have a suspicion: if you have a section at one tempo, make sure you set a beatmarker at the end of that section too, on the last beat where you consider it to still be the same BPM. This way it won't stretch the beats on that section to match where you're putting in your new beatmarker on the next section..

This provides a good way of thinking about it, each beatmarker bookends tempo zones. Each zone has to have an integer number of beats, so if the song skips or has an extra fraction of a beat, you might want to make a zone just for that bar, so it doesn't mess with the overall tempo. Then you'll notice if you try to adjust the BPM for that zone, it will jump to values that allow an integer number of beats.
