I recently upgraded my laptop from a 2014 Macbook Air to a 2023 M3 Pro. I am trying to install all of my instruments + expansions onto my new computer and every time i try and install my libraries I get the same error: "Installation Failed: Review Your Location Preferences." This laptop is new out of the box and all locations are default. I have created a ticket and run native support tool, but NI support team has been no help

Hello guys, sorry for the issue.

Here is the workaround that you can try to solve this issue:

In order to get NA to download the full installer we have to remove the affected products first.PC:

    1. Apply the following steps to the affected products: Fixing Software Update Installation Issues (Windows)
    2. Restart PC and open NA
    3. Install the product(s) from the available section
    4. NA should download and run the full installer of the latest available version now

    Mac:

    1. Navigate to the following location:  Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences >
    2. delete the following file of the affected product: com.native-instruments.product name.plist
    3. restart your computer and open NA
    4. Install the product(s) from the available section
    5. NA should download and run the full installer of the latest available version now

    I hope this helps☺️

try to point a location manually.

go to preference, file management and pic the locations.

I'd leave the application location in /application/native instruments

try to change content location to another folder and install one of the plug-ins to see if it works

Again, this keeps happening to me. Bought a new product. Cannot install. The file Mert suggests deleting in other threads does not exist.
