[v1.6.1] MASCHINE PLUS/MK3/MIKRO MK3 Ableton Live 11+ & 12.1+ MIDI Remote Script

Having issues with 1.6.1 with 12.1, Seems like its partially working but not fully
If I hold RESTART + scroll wheel which would normally change scale, I can see it changing in the bottom left corner but it does not reflect anything when using a MIDI instrument. If I click scroll wheel and rotate to change root note it again does nothing.
When I use just the scroll wheel to change the octave it shows that it is changing in the bottom left but again does nothing.
When trying to use the scroll wheel in drum rack it will scroll to view/change the available pads but the midi stays in the same rang0 -
Hello Piotr,
I'm sorry for my late response.
This might be a bit more complex, I've had a similar setup before where I could use Maschine DAW 16x sounds instead of Live's Drum Rack with this script.
I will take a look at my Live Sets, to find the right configuration and routings.
If I remember correctly, I've used a Drum Rack with Maschine DAW as the first pad, and route other Maschine sounds (2-16) to other Live's Drum Rack pads. There are some "How to use Maschine Expansions in Ableton Live Drum Rack"-type of tutorials that you can take a look in the meantime.
I will get back to you once I find the Live Set and solution.
Best,
Elton

Hi @MBlend,
I'm sorry I couldn't help you on time and I'm glad that you have solved the issue!
To note that v1.6.1 works with Ableton Live 12.1+ and v1.6.0 version of this script works with Ableton Live 11 and 12 (not 12.1+).
I will update this information in the product information and this forum thread's first post, as I was trying to make one version to work with both variants, but couldn't. What I discovered, was that the two variants can't be merged, as different Python versions (one used in Live 11-12 and the other one in Live 12.1) require their compiled .pyc files from a Python compiler of that respective version.

HELLO Elton can I have the MASCHINE MK3 script too? THANKS

Still not working, Ive done a full re-install of Live and fully deleted and re-added the script. Haven't heard anything back yet.
A shame because this script worked great for Ableton 12.0.X

What's your operating system? Can you describe exactly what's going on? Which button stops to work and in what context?
@Jeremy_NI , I might have misjudged this but user had attempted to place question in this thread here and had done so as user apparently considers question related , so I deleted the new thread that you responded to. Again I might have acted in err here , if so then please forgive me 🙂

I'm a little bit confused on what happened here. I guess I'll have to create a new thread from this post, since it's not really about the original post. Or was it…?

Sorry about that and for my blunder ☺️ (Ooops : two blunders on one day , not good , the other being forgetting to address Mert_NI with respect to the N.A. error)

Hello,
Please check the first post of this thread, there's a link for the script/product.

Hello,
I apologize for my inactivity lately.
I will check this issue this week and try to reproduce it.

My apologies for the confusion caused that new thread/s has/have been created for questions about a non-NI service, such as this case (this script and issues post Live 12.1 upgrade that some users are reporting).

No worries! I understand what happened now…we're also in the process of updating the official scripts for Live 12, this is where my confusion came from! I see that you already checked the post, so we're all good!

I can try to send a video or more detailed explanation of what I have found if it helps

Cant seem to edit last post, Ive found that the issue is happening when I open a blank Drum Rack on any channel, it breaks the script. If I load a premade Live kit (707, 808, boom bap, etc) first, I can then use the blank drum rack

Hi, just purchased this, and it's great, thank you. Solved a ton of my issues.
Just one question. I have the pads on my Mikro dedicated to a single track with a drum rack. When it's in pad mode, if I switch focus to a different track, the lights follow and change color according to that new track (even though the midi input is still dedicated to the drum rack track).
Is there a way to keep the lights so that they remain with the drum rack? Minor quibble, but it sometimes gets a bit confusing without that visual feedback.
