    i have zero issues with the database in KK 2.9.6. that‘s why i rolled back…

    Issue is present (in my experience at least) via device navigation (S61 MK2) as well as in-app. Unaware of a hotkey or setting to disable the previews? Muting has no effect.

    I have a Komplete Kontrol A61 keyboard, in BROSWER mode I can scroll through the presets using the big knob. The lag is noticeable regardless of the device I use, either the mouse, keyboard or navigation knob from the KK keyboard.

    You can either click on the speaker icon on the computer's screen. From the MK2 keyboard, I believe that if you press SHIFT + Button 8 you can enable/disable the previews.

    Quick question to you all. If you check in Kontakt 7 or Kontakt 8, do you experience the same issue?

    I attach a performance comparison between Komplete Kontrol, Kontakt 7 and Kontakt 8 Player on my desktop computer. You can see which keys I press at the bottom right.

    The snappiest one is Kontakt 7, and the slowest is Komplete Kontrol. Kontakt 8 is very close to Kontakt 7 in terms of responsiveness, but I do notice a slight delay when compared to 7.

    Please do note that Kontakt has way less presets than Komplete Kontrol, which may explain the difference in performance, and Komplete Kontrol sometimes does not respond to keystrokes, that's why I need to change the brand selection at the top to make it respond again.

    Hi Jeremy,

    Kontakt 7.10.5 is for me browsing with arrows on keybed all normal with good performance as it was in the past; Same speed as Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6. Kontakt 8.0.1 is very laggy and the preset bounces and overjumps other presets like in Komplete Kontrol 3.3.3. Komplete Kontrol 3.3.3 and Kontakt 8.0.1 behave exactly the same, i assume they share the browser stack…

    I just updated to Kontakt 7.10.6. The browsing is still fine for me and the same behaviour as 7.10.5.

    Same laggy and bouncy behaviour in Kontakt 8.1 as in 8.01

    Hate to say it but I noted this slow performance during the very first beta and fed it back to seemingly deaf ears, notably scrolling presets and overall performance was terribly slow compared to KK V2 and I don't believe I had KK V3 installed long enough to really dive into other issues. The core of KK is a file browser, it should be lite, fast, simple to use and KK V2 was all of these things, V3 is close to none of these things and continues to get worse. It's just been a constant 12 months of complaints and issues on the boards, so much more since the latest version and being basically 12 months on now, we seem to be heading backwards in terms of usability…

    I too still use V2 without issues (other than the ones they never bothered to fix over the years). I feel V3 will be the same box of issues that sadly will likely never be fixed, I would love to be proven wrong at any step, tho 12 years is a long time to still be hoping for that…

    @Jeremy_NI and others…

    Could it be that the issue is related to users who have the NI instrument libraries stored on a HD other than where KK is installed?

    Do you know if the problem happens to all users with 30000+ presets?

    Or does it happen only to few users by an unknown cause?

    I don't think the root cause is disk access times, I believe it's a problem of preset amount and how KK deals with the data. If it's not been reported massively it may be because average users don't have huge amount of presets, or don't use KK and use Kontakt instruments directly without navigating through presets. Another factor is how people perceive the delay, me personally I'm expecting instant preview playback to rapidly find what I'm looking for, I assume other users may not find it so annoying.

    As other people is reporting that previous versions do work as expected, I bet the issue must be in KK code itself.

    We don't have enough reports to make general rules at the moment.

    A seperate disk is not the issue as i have a seperate on board SSD with around 3gb/s read speed. No issues like that with Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 but issues with Komplete Kontrol3 and Kontakt 8.

    and i have as well 30000+ presets and no issue on Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 and Kontakt 7. btw fot your information: databases are capable to handle way more than 30000 datarecords when they correct work together with the software
