I had this identical problem and found that just changing the content location to my external drive fixed it fine.

how about a universal solution for the same problem? instead of customer service tickets, that send you links that don't do **** all.

Evidently a problem here. Come on NI, I've spent a lot of money on all this.

I tried looking for the old version of NA but the only legacy version is for up to Windows 8.

I have now wasted hours trying to sort this. Also see my prior posts. [Reference , inserted by Moderator]

Hello guys, sorry for the issue.

Have you tried these steps below:

In order to get NA to download the full installer we have to remove the affected products first.

    PC:

    1. Apply the following steps to the affected products: Fixing Software Update Installation Issues (Windows)
    2. Restart PC and open NA
    3. Install the product(s) from the available section
    4. NA should download and run the full installer of the latest available version now

    Mac:

    1. Navigate to the following location:  Macintosh HD > Library > Preferences >
    2. delete the following file of the affected product: com.native-instruments.product name.plist
    3. restart your computer and open NA
    4. Install the product(s) from the available section
    5. NA should download and run the full installer of the latest available version now

    Please let me know.

    I hope this helps☺️

Nope that doesn't work. I've checked not only MacintoshHD>Library>Preferences, but also MacintoshHD>Users>Library>Preferences where other copies of com.native-instruments"Productname".plist files occur. I've also tried changing locations in NativeAccess2 preferences without any effect.

It interests method the download fails the instant you click install. It doesn't even attempt to download. Makes me think that its maybe a file check or something.

    Can you try the following?

    — reboot your Mac computer

    — run Native Access, visit its Preferences > File Management:

    — — click on Restore Defaults button

    — — re-Browse and re-select your Download (if necessary) and Content Locations

    — — close the Preferences box

    — either in Native Access Library view and click on the Refresh icon, or quit and re-run Native Access

    — try and see if you can now install libraries and expansions—one at a time is recommended

Please feedback if this work or does not.

"… while the locations are all default." This is a sign of corruption. In this case there will be no valid folder, ever; the real answer to this issue is to trash the native access preference files. Here these are at user name/Library/Preferences. On Mac this Library is hidden. Go to Go menu, hold down option and scroll down to Library to reveal it.

IDK why there is a Native Access.plist and a nativeaccess2.plist, but trash them both to be sure.

Great to also see that the app is "forward" thinking and downloads both MAC and windows install media….I certainly hope this developer no longer works at NI

I just got this error for the first time. It happened right after I added the serial for this product to my account. I have never installed this product before. I currently have dozens of other NI products installed and working on this computer.

    Version 3.14.0 (4250839 / 1.21.0.0)

    Apple M1 Max - Sonoma 14.7.1
