Battery4 VSTi resets settings after closing/opening the UI
On Reaper 7, Windows 10
I open Battery 4 (VST or VST3i) select a cell, set articulation to flam, close the ui, repoen the plug-in, the articulation setting is gone.
Can this instrument please please please get an update?
It is sooo buggy at the moment. Makes me really nervous to use.

Same issue imagine this happening during an Eminem session welp that's what happened to me now if I show up to the studio nobody likes the native instruments plug ins

Basically it's unusable for anything other than presets as it is and the reason I now use an alternative product despite paying for this as a single plugin. A long awaited update to fix this bug amongst others has been requested many times but so far nothing from NI.

Just tested this in Studio One v6.62 (Win 10) and the articulation remains in place.
I loaded the 707/727 stock kit, flammed the 3rd cell (Snare), closed the UI then added another VST to the session, messed around, came back to Battery, flam is still good, then added another etc etc for at least 4 extra instruments and opened /closed the Battery UI at least 10 times - still flamming away.
Could be a Reaper thing?

May I ask which alternative you're going for?

My alternative is Triaz from Wave Alchemy.
So far and away better than Battery it is not even a discussion or comparison.

Same here, abandoned both Battery and Maschine Software for Triaz 👍

Yeah, looked at it already, but for my taste there's too much focus on the pattern engine. Basically, what I want is most excellent sample handling and manipulation. For instance, one thing I absolutely love with Battery is how you can tweak multiple cells at once. Very little other tools allow for that…

Well you can always stick with Battery.
For some of us - this ship had sailed.
Triaz is just getting started. Good times ahead.

Nah, defenitely won't stay with Battery. For now, I'm trying to get along with Logic's Drum Machine Designer, which I think of as being sort of weird. There's some incredibly kickass features and then some truly lame aspects.
I also think Speedrum and TAL-Drum are pretty decent contenders.

TAL-Drum seems pretty much to be what I'd have expected from a Battery 5 (except I think it could do with a sequencer but so could Battery)

Since becoming an Ableton Live and Push user I've invested more time getting familiar with drum racks. Maschine and battery groups samples can easily be loaded into an Ableton Lives drum racks.

Unfortunately, my ambitions to switch DAWs are trending towards zero.

Exactly - like Studio One. Infinitely easier to just use their excellent Impact XT drum sampler and dump any samples (Battery or otherwise) into it. Save a custom kit and off you go.

I was just dying going, "what the?". This is definitely new as I am a hardcore Battery dependent musician, so any funny business and I felt it right away.
Confirmed that I can adjust sample settings, close the UI, reopen it, and those settings I just changed are back to the initial values of the loaded kit.
Needless to say this is basically one of the worst situations imaginable for any of us trying to use Battery to sequence, edit, and make music. Please NI, I hope you can help us out sooner than later with a fix.

Long awaited? How long has this been happening for you? For me it just started on this new machine I just built yesterday. Jeez I will in fact die if this stays. My Batteries will just run out. First they just stole B3 without an iota of legacy support, now this.
