Huge CPU amount when using Maschine inside Ableton
I've been having an issue recently when using the Maschine as a plugin inside Ableton. When using ther default Maschine kits the CPU runs fine but as soon as load up Kontakt or Kontakt 7, my CPU immediately jumps up to 80% [in Ableton]; and 135% when actually playing the instrument. I've updated all of the Kontakt and Maschine software in native access but the issue still prevails. Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to fix this? Thanks

What happens if you load the Kontakt 7 instruments directly in Ableton?

It also depends what Kontakt Lib you use. Some of them are CPU very hungry, others are RAM pretty hungry.

Using it directly doesnt casue any CPU spikes, it only becomes unbearble with the combo of maschine + kontakt

Make sense, will try uninstalling excess software in kontakt that I'm not using.

Ok. How is the CPU load if you start the Maschine application and load the Kontakt 7 instruments there? Also, what happens if you load Kontakt 7 within Komplete Kontrol in Ableton? (trying to find out whether the problem is with Maschine or with loading VSTs inside VSTs in Ableton)
I don’t think that installed Kontakt instruments have any impact on performance when not loaded.
