I wouldn’t try midi mapping without this now.1

I would very much like this to be stickied, just like in the old forum. @Kaiwan_NI , what do you think? 🦋

I don´t have a Github-Account to comment on running cmdr on macOS, so I post this here.
I tried to run CMDR on my M1Pro-Mac with the described methods on GitHub but neither worked for me.
Now I tried UTM.app (which can be downloaded for free from their website https://mac.getutm.app/) to virtualise Win11 on my Mac. I simply followed this guide (https://docs.getutm.app/guides/windows/) to install a VM with Win11 on Ventura and installed cmdr. And it runs! And loads my tsi!
Before I can say something about the reliability of cmdr in this VM, I have to get into cmdr first. But I thought, this might be good news for every Mac user here.

Thanks a lot, this is indeed new instructions for macOS!
The old instructions are old.
Personally I'm a windows only guy, but made some effort for mac users to benefit from this editor

amazing that a tool like this exists. NI should have a native version of this.

Yes, we are lucky to have this tool. And it still works! There are no Pattern Player commands and X1 Mk3 crashes the app but other than that it is fantastic.

Thanks Stevan
I may have some time this holiday to fix this
Please send me by email 2x TSI:
- one for unsupported new HW like X1mk3 (and I guess the S3)
- one with the new commands added in TP4 for everybody
Thanks!

That would be just awesome! Christmas coming early this summer, tehehe. :D
Thank you, a lot.

I still need to figure all new commands added in TP4 but I just sent all pattern player commands and and X1.Mk3 and S3 TSIs.

remind me to flip you a $50 bill when i'm done with my mapping script. The tool has already saved me a day of work and I'm just getting started.

Big ones are "Generate Stems" and "Delete Associated Stems" are both under Browser → List. Those are two remaining TP4 commands and they are located at the bottom of the list. If someone figure out other new commands then please add that info to this thread and include a TSI file as well.

A little beginner's question from me, because the ways to install CMDR on a Mac seem a bit complicated: Couldn't I just do the whole thing with Boot Camp (and Windows 10) to use CMDR on a Mac? I'd like to try it out, because I don't think Xtreme Mapping has a future. Unfortunately, there hasn't been an update since TP. 3.5.

I used free version of Fusion Player on my mac mini before a lord of thunder burned it. It would be easier to use a virtual machine of a sort - then you don't need to reboot each time you change the OS.
