Reaktor 6: How do I debug Metaphysical Function
The ensemble Metaphysical Function is great for generative soundscapes. But after I’ve upgraded to Reaktor 6 I get repeated warnings (see picture). Is there any way of fixing the ensemble? Or is there a similar one without bugs?

This is an old ensemble that does use event loops. You turned off event loops, so it is complaining about the event loops that it is not allowed to run.
Just tried on M1 Macbook Pro Mac OS 14.5 (latest) Reaktor 6.5.0

Quick solution
Before you open the ensemble, go to Preferences and enable this function:

Better solution:
Enter Edit mode, choose your module, then on the Function tab, disable the Event Loops.
Then, save your ensemble!
Replace the original, or make a second copy in your User Content and always use this one. :-)0 -
Sorry, still getting them.

Reaktor 4 Legacy mode is off.

Both versions of metaphysical function work just fine for me on Reaktor 6.5, PC version, with or without legacy mode active. I also have globally disable event loops unchecked…
Are you sure this is the factory version? could it be a modified version you are using? Are you using it by itself, or as part of a larger ensemble?
Are you Mac or PC? (this shouldn't matter, but the participation from mac users during the last beta were poor iirc, so it could be an issue… unlikely though)
Is it on all snapshots, or just some? if it's just a few, which ones?

It seems to be on all snapshots. I’m on an M1 Mac mini, latest OS. Reaktor 6.5.
And yes, I’m sure it is the factory version. I’ve reinstalled the Reaktor Factory Library and loaded both the A and B versions of Metaphysical Function from that folder. Both generate multiple warnings.

Seems like it could be a Mac only issue. is that and ARM mac or intel?
Any other Mac users out there who can test this?
Does this problem occur in standalone mode? or DAW or both?
Anyway, I would raise a support ticket - The factory version of Metaphysical Function should just work, and does for me.

M1, so ARM.

Let me add this is the only ensemble – factory or user built – that I’ve tried that does this.

I'm on M1 and don't get this with Metaphysical Function

Is it possible to check all the pop-up messages and see if it is always the same error, or many different ones?
0 -
There are different ones, though the same error happens in more than one osc, and more than one way. This is from just opening the ensemble in Reaktor 6:

Ugh… 🙄
so many modules… it makes no sense
and, if is a bug, why no one reported it before?
Metaphysical Function is a pretty popular ensemble…0
