Traktor Pro / S4MK3 Move encoder
Hoping anyone can help as I had been curious about this question for a while - is it possible to use the move encoder to set a loop at a later point in the track, during the track playing? Obviously without disturbing playback. I have been through the S4MK3 manual fyi.
eg track currently playing at 30 sec mark, use move encoder to jump ahead to end of track, say 3m in, set a loop (maybe even store loop in the pad section as hotcue - green) and have it engage the loop at the end of the playing track?
Apologies if this is poorly explained, hopefully it's understood. Thanks for any help.

There is another solution, but it's complicated. For a start, check out the extended deck view section for move command, where you can determine move size, loop size and move type (beatjump/move loop-in/move loop-out).
If you set a loop of the right size right where you are, then de-activate it. Then use the above commands to move the not-active loop forward in the timeline without moving the playmarker until you have the loop at the correct position.
if you now activate the loop (loop/active so shift+move encoder) the track will start to loop when it reaches the distant loop finally.

If you have a free deck, just load a copy of the track. If you store a Hot-Loop, the other deck will get it as well.

Appreciate the reply and thanks, that's a good option.
I just want to confirm that the move encoder cannot be moved past the red playhead marker without playback being disturbed? I was hoping this may be possible through mapping but seems it's not part of the traktor pro software functionality (although I've somehow stumbled upon it, rarely, with no reason how it was engaged and occurring eg track playing but move encoder was manipulating a forward/future section of the track).0 -

Tried it out and a good workaround solution. Next thing would be mapping it to the hardware, thanks for the help.
