Stem Deck Mapping Separating Output Signal To Light
hello everyone,
i am doubtful this is possible, and wanted to confirm.
for a stem deck, traktor separates the 4 stems and shows the visual waveform of each of the separated stems.
i would like to take the output signal of each of the 4 separate stems, and map it to a light output / led indicator for each individual stem.
i want the indicator to light up only when there is sound being output from an individual stem thereby seeing which stem is outputting sound at a quick glance.
i am going to assume there is no way to do this but i am hopeful that i've missed something.
thanks!

There are commands you can use in your device mapping that take the output value of each slot/stem. So yes, this is doable.

That's Deck Common → Submix —> Slot Mute command.
Tick the invert on so the LED is activated when slot/stem is not muted (it is the other way around by default)1 -
so i don't think this is what i am trying to do…
SLOT MUTE indicates whether or not the MUTE is activated or not.
i am trying to determine if there is a sound signal irrespective of SLOT MUTE.
lets say SLOT MUTE 1 is "off"
but there is silence in the track then no LED should be turned on, even though SLOT 1 MUTE is "off"
ONLY when there is sound due to the waveform of the slot, should there be light.
does this make sense?0 -
AddOut..➔Deck Common➔Submix➔Meters

YES!!! there it is :) thanks!
