LED brightness on AKAI APC Mini mk2 controller
Hey, everybody.
I'm trying to map an AKAI APC Mini mk2 as a controller for a step sequencer in Traktor Pro 3. Unfortunately I have run into a problem with reaching the maximum brightness for the LEDs in the buttons. As it is stated in the controller communication protocol, the complete control of the LEDs is based on a 3-byte instruction, but Traktor can't send it. So the LED brightness is set to a normal level (normal is 90, highest is 96) and Traktor only defines the color through its 1-127 scale. I tried to find the mentioned 3-byte instructions in the TSI file using cmdr, but they are not there.
Can you think of a way to communicate this brightness instruction to the controller? For example, is there another way to open and define the TSI file? Or could some additional midi interface between Traktor, computer and controller be the solution?
Thanks for the advice or ideas.

Ah! I think i just found the solution myself :) Channel 7 seems like the key.

Go for channel 10, that's maximum brightness.

I made one some time ago, with intense LEDs...

Nice! Can you explain the solution? Did you just use default Traktor mapping interface or something else?

OK, thanks. I will try. I found one article where channel 7 is mentioned as maximum (if it represents scale 90 - 96 it seems logical). I hope maximum brightness will not burn my USB, hehe.

Don't worry about it, I have channel 10 set all the time, even highest brightness level isn't that bright when compared to a launchpad Mk3 though.

Umm, so... channel 10 is not right. Values (channels) over 7 means blinking LEDs.

My mapping definitely uses Ch.10.
Did you press SHIFT + DRUM?

It is possible to map into Drum Mode? It seemed to me that it is standalone mode, which you can't map from Traktor at all.

I used channel 7 too, I just saw it on the mapping, but I don't remember any more.

I have advanced remix deck mapping on traktormaps. It uses ch.10 as IO foind it is brightest setting.

And drums are normally Ch.10 as well.
