Headphone cue button not working since 3.11.0 44 on S8

Today I updated to the current version via Native Acsess and in this version the headphone cue button no longer works on the S8. You can turn it on and off, but there is no sound. I can no longer operate the cue (headphones) button in the software itself. I then went back to 3.10.1 16 and the cue button works again on the S8, but not in the software itself using the mouse (I never noticed it before because I always use the controller cue button)

Can anybody confirm this?

I did test on the S8, but I have to admit I missed the cue problem as I wasn't using the S8 audio. I have everything wired for a different interface so I used that. The problem (on Windows anyway) only seems to happen when you use the ASIO interface. Using the S8 WDM drivers works ok for me, which is kinda weird!

Yes, I have to agree. The first thing that was noticed about "not checking" the cue button was a Beta tester. Perhaps NI don't have the time to test all controllers. I could understand if this was an issue with non NI, however there is a serious issue, as you can't even Map the button at all. There is also an obvious driver issue.

To me there is no plausible reason why a fix/patch that is so important shouldn't be possible within 1-2 hours. Mixing is not possible without a cue/headphone, so Traktor is worthless. Furthermore, it is a function that has worked without any problems so far. Very, very annoying & I don't understand why NI leaves us hanging like this!

UPDATE 3.11.1 is out now and seems to be working.... I'll fully test tonight in work and let you know if any issues....

Works fine for me… when my X1 mk3 is plugged in, and in mixer mode, the S8 screens stutter a bit. Goes away when I switch the X1 to FX mode. I honestly don’t see this being a problem for me as I bought the X1 strictly for mobile setups away from my S8 but I figured I’d mention it anyway.

Hang on, this fix says "FIXED Main mix is not audible in S8 headphones

When turning the Cue-Mix knob to the full right position, the main mix is now fully audible again in headphones" --> That's not my issue, the issue is the cue buttons aren't working, and you haven't documented this in the fix update. I'm not updating as this does not specify the fix. I didn;t even know of this issue as I rarely listen to the master mix in the headphones Also, this say nothing of the word "master" does not appear on the S8 screens when setting a track to master, so you only know if you look at the laptop.

The Saddest part of this? I downloaded Virtual DJ last night, it auto mapped the whole controller perfectly to Virtual DJ, including the screens, and the headphone cue button works.... is it sad, or ironic?

So yes, I need a piece of software that lets me confidently play in front of crowds,and I'm sure I'm not alone. All hail Traktor V3.10....for now

Updated to 3.11.1 both on my Mac Mini M1 with Sonoma 14.3 and on my MacBook Intel with Monterey 12.7.1 and the cue button not working is still there. Last update was not a fix for me.

Previously selecting the Audio Device in Audio Setup there was written only Traktor Kontrol S8, now i see all audio interface are followed by (CoreAudio). Is there something i can do on the system driver of my S8?

This update fixed that issue. It was the issue I was having and it’s not there anymore. In fact I think 3.11.1 runs better than 3.10 if I’m being honest.

Does this actually fix the cue buttons not working? Not had chance to try it yet but it's not mentioned in the release notes.
