Native Access ignoring new installation path

I was using an external hd (E:) but i removed it. Im trying to reinstall everything to the default storage location on my main hd (C:) but i get "installation failed: invalid location" because NativeAccess wants to use the old path to a drive that doesnt exist. It let me reinstall some stuff but not all. Any thoughts?

When the error pops up with the installation path, what happens when you change it to the correct location?

I have the same issues with 2 of my libraries. Waiting for Native Instrument support to get back to me with a solution.

People have the same issue on MacOS. The problem seems to be that NA keeps a list of locations for installed items, so changing the content location only changes the location for new items. I'm not sure why they chose this behavior, possibly trying to avoid multiple installations of the same product, who knows?

If you haven't already tried uninstalling NA itself and reinstalling it, I would give that a shot. Otherwise hopefully someone from the PC side can point you to the location of the file that needs to be deleted to clear out the previous locations.

Maybe try editing HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Native Instruments\INSTRUMENT NAME\ContentDir in regedit?

I've actually unistalled/reinstalled several times. It always remembers the old path.

Had this exact same issue.

I'm not sure what the windows equivalent is, but you need to find the file which remembers the old outdated path information for your libraries. You can try doing an advanced search for the library name inside your system folders and lookup the file types you find on google.

I fixed my issue by deleting the .plist files for my missing libraries. On a mac, you can find them in Macintosh HD -> Library -> Preferences -> com.native-instruments.[library-name].plist.

For example: com.native-instruments.Battery 4.plist

This should remove the "broken installation" icon and allow you to do a fresh reinstall of that library.

@red_nick is correct, the locations for each library are stored in the registry so you'll have to use regedit to modify the locations, or if they're not installed anymore just delete the entries.

I've never used regedit but when i bring it up the problematic (E:) path is listed. not sure how to get it out. I see how to add a new item/path but not edit or delete.
