Setting up Kompletel Audio 6 & Traktor s4 Mk3
Hello!
Apologies in advance if I'm posting this in the wrong place.
I have the Komplete Audio 6 sound card running alongside my Dell XPS 15. The Audio 6 pumps audio into a pair of Yamaha monitor speakers.
The issue I'm having is I would like to connect my Traktor s4 mk3 through my Komplete Audio 6 so I do not need to unplug the monitor speakers to plug them into the S4 MK3. Is this possible?
In the Traktor software the options is there to select the Audio 6 soundcard but then I am unable to monitor my mix on headphones etc etc.
Am I looking at this all wrong? Anyone have any experience with this? I'm a complete newbie to the DJ world.
Thanks guys.

Hey @supa - this is definitely possible, but it requires a small workaround. Check out the link below and you should be set to go. You can set the Komplete Audio 6 as the Output Master and the S4 as the Output Monitor. Let me know if you have any questions.
How Can I Configure TRAKTOR for Two Audio Interfaces?

Thanks for your response @Ryan_NI. I’ll give it a shot.
I suppose the other option would be to plug the output of the s4 mk3 into inputs 3 & 4 of the Audio 6.
In that situation I would select the internal sound card of the s4mk3 in the traktor dj software but the actual laptop/pc would be running on the audio 6. Could that work?

You did select the asio4all device in traktor?
Can you show us a screenshot of the dropdown in output routing? Similar to this one:

Hello all,
Unfortunately it’s not very stable from my experience to use both the sound card from the s4 and my external sound card the komplete 6. Numerous audio drops and jitters. It was not stable for me at all using the below,
I suppose is the number of devices connected to my laptop and my issue is my workflow.
when DJing I’m discovering tracks using Spotify for example.
Then I download the tracks and playlist them into Winamp.
It is at this point I drag in the tracks to Tracktor and start DJing/arranging etc.
As you can always see the problem I’m unable to anything with the s4 except playback tracks loaded into it. So when I using my laptop, the outputs into my speakers are plugged into the Komplete Audio 6. When I want to DJ I need to plug in the outputs into the s4.
Its all rather frustrating to be honest. But at least it’s a workaround. I guess the most convenient thing to do in the future would be to have a mixer with the master outputs of the Komplete 6 going into 2 channels and the s4 going into 2 other channels.

You can also use the WASAPI (Shared) driver instead of ASIO. That should allow both Spotify/Winamp and Traktor to use the device at the same time.
Though for gig / set I would switch back to ASIO.
Or you can put a cable from one of the outs of the audio 6 into an input of the s4 and route it on a deck.
