Installation of NTKDaemon Fails

I tried running Native Access and it said it had an update. So I let it update and it said it could not delete the old version of NTKDaemon and to unistall it manually. I followed those instrutions and uninstalled it. Though the Uninstall failed.

I then started searching on how to unistall the NTKDaemon. I followed instructions using the NI Uninstall RegTool64Bit.exe. I also, from posts in the forum deleted all directories that had Native Access and NTK in them like from appdata and appdatalocal.

I believe everything was unistalled. I then downloaded the most recent Native-Access2.exe installer from the Native Instruments website and tried to install. It consistently fails installing the NTKDaemon. The Service gets created but the folder for the EXE in C:\Program Files\Native Instruments\ does not get created.

I don't know what else to try.

This sounds as an access problem.

I believe everything was unistalled. I then downloaded the most recent Native-Access2.exe installer from the Native Instruments website and tried to install. It consistently fails installing the NTKDaemon.

You should completely remove any trace of Native Access and NTKDaemon from both drive and registry.

Then also after a fresh reboot before re-installing N.A. then open TaskManager and check that you do not have any Native Access or NTKDaemon process or service running , if you have then kill it and then remove it . Then reboot and check again.

Then make sure that your Windows security settings does not block , e.g. Allow an app to access controlled folders and block third-party app installations in Windows 11/10 (for how to unblock) , and also make sure that your AV and other Windows security is not blocking an install.

Only then download and run latest version of Native Access for your OS as an Admin .

and you do not have other Windows problem blocking : Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files How To Use DISM To Repair Windows Image (Please backup personal files as suggested before proceeding)

Then please contact N.I. Support , use the bot Riff to open a ticket , tell Riff that the suggestions do not help and that you want to open a ticket and have human support assistance.
