If you map in Controller Manager you have probably stared at the Set to value field. You add a command, set the type to Button and the interaction mode to Direct, and there it is: a number box, and nothing anywhere tells you what the command wants.
Traktor knows. It just doesn't say. Double click the field and type 999. It settles on the command's maximum. Type -999 and it settles on the minimum. It has to be a double click, a single click doesn't focus the field, which is probably why nobody finds it.
The other side works too. On an Out row, LED Options has a Controller Range with a Min and a Max. Put something absurd in there and Traktor clamps it back to what the command really spans.
I did that a few hundred times this summer, and two things fell out of it.
A command has one range. Set to value accepts it and Controller Range spans it, and they are the same two numbers. So you only have to read it once.
And the way Traktor prints the number tells you what kind of value it is. 0 to 1 in whole steps is a real on and off. 0.0 to 1.0 is continuous, a fader or a meter. I didn't expect that to be reliable. It has been, every time.
So I went through the whole Add In and Add Out menus and wrote it all down. 524 commands in 14 sections, in Traktor's own menu order, with the kind, what it aims at, the values a Direct mapping takes and the range it reports:

A few things in there I never found written anywhere. Loop Size Selector is 0 to 10 and the list is /32 /16 /8 /4 /2 1 2 4 8 16 32. Jog Turn is -16 to 16. Clock Int/Ext spans 2 to 3 for its two values, which looks like a mistake and isn't, so I left it the way Traktor shows it.
It covers Pro 3 as well as Pro 4. I walked Traktor 3's menus too and compared them command by command. 28 are Pro 4 only and marked. Pattern Player isn't in Traktor 3 at all.
Every row has its own link. When someone asks about one command you can point at the row instead of saying scroll down.
Two things I should say plainly. The starting point was the command table in Pedro Estrela's CMDR editor, from the Traktor 3.3 days, which I then re-read against 4.5.1 by hand. And I needed the data because I build a Traktor mapping myself, for an iPad, so the list also marks the commands that mapping covers. That column is the only place my own work appears. Our part of the table is free to reuse under CC BY.
If you find a row that's wrong, I'd honestly like to hear it. I read them off the panel one by one and there will be mistakes in there.
I wrote to the admin team before posting this, as the code of conduct asks. If it still reads as promotion, say so and I'll take it down.
