Why do I need to pay again?

Hi, I'm a bit miffed that I must pay again for MPC versions of NI instruments I've already paid for. Seems a bit mean to me. I already own Analogue Dreams and it seems I now have to pay NI a further £25 to use it on my MPC live 3. Also it only has a poultry 140 or something presets. As much as I was keen to use it I'm not going to pay again. NI CAN KEEP IT.

I suspected you might go there, but it makes no difference IMO. You expect to get something in one format for free because you bought it in another format earlier.

The first sampler I bought was an Akai S900. When I bought my MPX X SE I didn't expect to get all the expansions for free because I already had S900 samples…

On the Yurt Rock site, if I buy Indie Rock Drums for MPC, I don't get free access to Indie Rock Drums for Ableton. I have to buy it.

You're talking about physical media that has a certain amount of manufacturing costs attached to it. Software isn't the same in my opinion.
