Manually installed Traktor Pro 4 executable

Native Access was taking forever to install Traktor Pro 4, as part of my new MX2 bundle. I therefore located the executable in the files dropped by Native Access and installed it using the .EXE file.

Now, NA refuses to spot the Traktor installation, and whatever I do (uninstall NA, reinstall, log out, log in…) it won't let me install other packages even if I do not queue Traktor in the downloader. It takes precedence over other packages I would love to install.

2nd Level Support came back to me via email.

They told me to try to run NA as administrator, verify that Traktor is installed in the default location (C:/Program Files/Native Instruments/Traktor Pro 4) and also present in the Windows installed apps menu. Everything checked.

If so, they recommended disabling third party AVs (none present, I still nerfed Windows Security), and restart the NTKDaemonService in services.msc. I was unable to restart or stop NTKDaemonService (Err. 1061: The service cannot accept control messages at this time - UPDATE: I was able by terminating its process in task manager**).

Then sign out of NA, reboot, and sing back in and allow a few minutes to pass.

This would have not worked if I did not decide on my own to terminate NTK Daemon in the task manager, so I had thought of replying to the support ticket and provide:

1. A Native Access Support File

2. Screenshots of NA

3. Confirmation that NA and Traktor were installed in the internal drive

4. A list of AVs installed (none other than Windows Security)

5. The log files of NTK Daemon in localappdata/Native Instruments/NTK

** UPDATE: While writing this post, I managed to resolve the issue by terminating all processes related to Native Instruments and restarting NA ad Administrator.
