Looking for some help here - I want to use Maschine in a large Ableton project, but I am encountering latency when recording despite a powerful computer setup (M4 Macbook Pro, Motu 828, 64 sample buffer).
When I play on the controller (M+) there is no latency if I check Ableton’s “Reduce Latency When Monitoring”, and arm the track. When I hit a pad, the sound comes instantaneously, all is good. However, when I record to Maschine’s sequencer, the notes appear delayed - they do not sit on the grid the way I am hearing it. For example, the notes in this picture sound like they are hitting on the downbeat (1.1, 1.2 etc), despite being delayed on the grid.
If I quantize the notes in Maschine, it looks right, but then sounds wrong (hits too early) until I un-arm the track. If I un-arm the track before quantizing, it sounds the way it looks - delayed.
I want to be able to jam in Maschine in real-time, record to the sequencer, quantize while recording, and build up sounds that way while having plugins on other channels that may have high latencies.
I'm guessing my issue is happening because there are other plugins in my project with high latencies (like a pitch shifter plugin). I'm just hoping someone knows a workaround.
Has anyone dealt with this issue, and know how I might get around it? Thank you much!!
Maschine V3.4.1.
