Could you please describe in more detail steps taken and what is the actual problem ?

I have managed to install Maschine 2. It is a demo version. When I click on the activate button it opens my Native Access but there is no clear path on how to activate the software.
Do you actually have a license for Maschine 2 on your account ? (you need a license for activation)
Else then try uninstalling Machine 2 then reboot and then reinstalling the Maschine 2 software (turn on show legacy software if necessary) to see if it makes any difference.
I'm not sure If I do have a license and if I don't how do I get one?
Do you know if this source is legit?

Definitely not a legit source. Also then you can no longer buy a new license from any sources including NI.
If you have a license to a product then the product will show at your account listed as registered or not - registered
If your Maschine Mikro MK2 came with software (base software)(e.g. Maschine 2) then you would most likely get a free copy of this 'base software' when/if registering the hardware unit to your account by getting the serial transferred from original owner to your own account. You can ask NI Support for help doing that even if you can not ask previous owner but have a receipt and a picture of serial at bottom of device. Then NI will look into the matter and transfer the device if original/previous owner do not object.

Else then it is possible that you could get a complimentary copy of Maschine 2 from NI Support if you buy Maschine 3 software. But you would have to contact N.I. Support and ask them and get their approval before you buy anything since it is not given that they will let you have the complimentary software copy.
Another way of getting old software is to buy it second hand e.g. using : N.I. Forum Buy / Sell / Trade
Please notice that when you contact NI support then you will receive an AI auto-response and it is important that you answer this response to let NI know that you still need their assistance. This is also valid in general , if you have a support ticket with NI then always respond to their emails as long as that you still need help , else the ticket will close.
I notice there's Maschine installed immediately above your Maschine 2 demo. Why not use that?

You don't click that button to run the software.
The button is for installing - once the software is installed, the button reads Installed.
It indicates it is installed in Native Access but it is not there on my computer
@Jeremy_NI , I tried to advice in detail here but apparently this problem is better suited for someone with account product list insight.
@Zvinaiye I quickly checked your account and couldn't find a Maschine 2 software license but I see you have serials for the hardware for a while already.
