Morning Folks.

Purchased a Maschine Mk3, the seller has went through with the Licence Transfer for which I have the Transfer ID

But the error I get is I am missing the Base Package, which would be Maschine 2.

When he goes onto his account, it says NOT Transferrable. Even though he initially got it with the Maschine Mk3 anyway.

Any ideas on how to get this all sorted or fixed?

I did email support with Pictures, Chat, Bank transfer etc but they came back with a generic email "Please contact the seller"

it would of come with komplete select 11 , which is the older version of komplete start or the bundled stuff you get , like massive , fm8 , monark , some fx

the email reply you got would be a generic ai response , if you reply to the email , saying you still need assistance from a customer service rep , it should get to an actual person

You should of definitely got the base product, makes no sense just transferring the update as it’s tied to the base product

Yes, for HW versions of NI software for NI HW usually are not transferable. But what is considered 'base' software for the device will also be given by NI to a secondhand buyer that registers the device. However it is possible that the device at the time were bundled with something that is generally not considered as base software, but you will have to sort that out with NI Support

Yes, what you have already done , contact NI Support.

Please notice that when you contact NI support then you will receive an AI auto-response and it is important that you answer this response to let NI know that you still need their assistance. This is also valid in general , if you have a support ticket with NI then always respond to their emails as long as that you still need help , else the ticket will close.

Cheers for the replies folks, I will await another reply from NI, I did reply to them, stating the original owner had issues with the transfer and I had a valid Transfer-ID.

You won't need Maschine 2, but you will need Maschine 3 Software and Maschine 3 Central. That is the equivalent package with that content. Maschine 3 software is just the program\DAW and Central is the main library with updated kits and added sounds. You can choose to purchase them separately, so you don't have to do it in one go.

If the he was able to transfer the Maschine 3 Update, I don't see why you don't have access, but those will be the necessary software programs you're requesting.

because the update needs a ver 2 license to work

Also central is a whole new library(actually an expansion), maschine 2 full library was different , you also had an essential library which came with the mikro mk3 and a few of the keyboards

I don’t think this is true. You can use MK3 hardware just fine with Maschine 2 software.

I have the Demo of Maschine 2 and it seems to work without issues.
