SHOP BUG: Cannot purchase Cremona Quartet Upgrade (Komplete 15 Ultimate / S88 MK3 owner)

Hi everyone,

I’m having a frustrating issue with the NI Webshop. I own Komplete 15 Ultimate (Upgrade for S-Series) and the Kontrol S88 MK3.

In my account, I clearly have the Stradivari Violin and Stradivari Cello (registered as "for S-SERIES"). However, the shop doesn't recognize them as valid base products for the Cremona Quartet completion/upgrade offer (approx. 99€). It only shows me the full price when I go to the payment page.

I've already opened multiple tickets but only received automated/irrelevant responses.

Ticket numbers: #4840525 and #4840671

Can a moderator please escalate this to the shop team? I want to buy the product but the system is blocking the correct price.

All fixed now guys.

Price now is right to me and I'll be happy to upgrade, it was obvious there was a screw up to me and thanks @Jeremy_NI to stepping in.
I must admit, it is kinda hard to be heard here, hence me being provocative and acting highly unsatisfied, so apologies if I was a little harsh but you must admit…it served the purpose here this time ;)

Here's a quick overview of what you are qualified for:

But you would need NI Support to clarify for certain.

That said - I am pretty sure the price you are seeing - is correct. I just tested mine as well - and I get what you get - I am a Komplete 15 ULT licensee.

That said - this would be the steal of the year - if I could parlay my parlay couple of Cremona instruments (via Komplete) into the entire full blown Cremona "bundle" for $129 CDN:

Important to note that $129 CDN is the Upgrade price.

The price you (and I) would get for this entire bundle (at best) - would be the "crossgrade" price.

These instruments - when assigned via of a Komplete Bundle - are "crossgrade" compatible - but are not "upgrade" compatible.

Again - check in with NI and they will get it sorted.

Please do not open multiple tickets it will only create delays and confusion. Rather respond to the automated response to let NI know that you still needs help !

Moderators can not escalate anything for you since we are not N.I. staff. However I can ask @Jeremy_NI to evaluate the situation to see if he thinks it needs escalation. Immediately I myself would guess no. Respond to the ticket to let N.I. staff know that you still needs help and N.I. should get back to you as soon as workload allows..

Funny enough, if you're logged out and you go to the price page it gives you a discount for the full price at 250€, while I should pay 299€ (owning already two products of that bundle in Komplete Ultimate 15).

@Jeremy_NI , if the above is correct (?) (that you are charged more as a bundle owner than if a new customer) then that sounds as some kind of screw up ?

@Stef1984 , If the above is correct then I guess that you could just make another account and buy the product and then contact N.I. Support and have them transfer the product to your primary account (?).

Another viewpoint - when any of us purchases a Komplete License - that saves all of us thousands upon thousands of euro/pounds/dollars and that should to be taken into account when a situation like this arises.

While the "new" customer price (in this specific case) for the Cremona Bundle might look a bit odd - and it might look as if a "new" user has some sort of "50 eur" deal - we cannot overlook the fact that we already got our deal long ago - and we should be thankful that we can crossgrade at all.

Owning a Komplete license should not be misconstrued as some sort of "universal discount card" where the expectation is we are somehow "special" and should automatically get to buy anything in the Ni catalog for next to nothing

@Vocalpoint they're actually looking into it now and said there should be a problem on the webshop.
Although still don't know what the price would be for me.

Just to give an example of other customer services, "Long ago" I've purchased the bundle of Soundtoys plugins for the full price. After around a month time they sent in my inbox the discounted price of the same bundle with something around 150$ off. Replied I was feeling a little "unlucky" to have purchased the bundle right before the ofter (1 month earlier, not really right before)….they refunded me the difference without me asking for it.

It could be worse.

I also appreciate the deals that I make. And I also agree that people should remember the advantage of whatever offer they took when comparing to later arriving offers , like e.g. new offers on Komplete bundles later (typically bundled with something extra to sweeten the deal).

However that is not the case here.

If what is mentioned above is correct (?) , then I think that N.I. can not and should not expect loyal customers to pay more for exactly the same thing unless the deal/offer is tagged 'New customers only' , and these New customers only offers are usually only seen in connection with e.g. trials on subscriptions and the like.

You still saved thousands - whether it was a month ago or a minute ago.

Keep that in mind before complaining about what is essentially - the price of a Friday lunch.
