Can I use 4 channels/decks with the MX2?

Question

Hey! I am looking to purchase a MX2 but wanted to know if the controller can be used to control 4 channels and if so, how? I watched Digital DJ Tips's review on YouTube and he mentions that it can but is unsure how to too (04:20)

Out of the box no … until NI release Traktor update which unlocks MX2 mappings .. which they most likely will.

But you can modify/hack QML files and you'll be able to control 4 decks. I've mapped MIC button to toggle between Decks AB and CD and it works without any issues .. Haven't really mapped the mixer knobs/faders since i use Deck CD for Remix Decks only … but it's possible with using "soft takeovers" (same as X1MK3) and not as hard as it sounds if you use AI to do these modifications for you.

You can't... Native Instruments was supposed to release the MX4 in early 2026, but there's no sign of it yet.
