4.4.2 update issues

Hello, has anyone elses 4.4.2 update deleted their traktor shortcuts from the desktop and browser bar?

Failed to update multiple times and wont even reinstall?

I can start Traktor 4.4.1.22 from the .exe in the 'backup' folder within 'Native instruments' folder within 'program files'… but cannot update from the newest Native access 2 of which I re installed also, just in case…..

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated,

I updated the new version of 4.4.2 and suddenly today I can't even start the program, its crashing whenever I start the Traktor pro 4,In meanwhile i reinstall the Traktor but is not helping,any suggestions what to do?Thanks

Check your NI Downloads folder if you still have the Traktor 4.4.2 update there (download date and time stamp from when trying to update) , if you have that then please save that update somewhere for later.

Then do the following :

Uninstall Native Access using Windows app uninstall

Then delete the Native Access folder from %AppData%\Native Instruments\ ( = C:\Users\[YOUR USER NAME]\AppData\Roaming\Native Instruments\ )

Reboot computer

Download Traktor installer 4.4.0 from Account downloads and install it

Then update to Traktor 4.4.2 using your saved update installer from your NI Downloads folder

Then re-install the latest version of Native Access for your OS (since we did not uninstall the NTK daemon then that should log you right in again)

The above procedure ought to fix your problem.

The general problem with the installation of e.g. Traktor and Komplete Kontrol is that when NI updates then they use an installer that requires a previous version of the app to be present otherwise then the installer refuse to run. This is pure not genius because the first thing the installer does is to uninstall the previous version, then when the whole thing somehow is broken by either N.A. or Windows then the whole thing halts because the installer just uninstalled the old version and refuse to continue run because the old version now is no longer present. I have already asked a number of times for NI to remove the requirement for a previous version to be present for the update installers to be able to run but so far this has not changed.

If you do not have the Traktor 4.4.2 update installer from the NI Downloads folder to run as part of the above then the result of it not having been run may vary . E.g. sometimes N.A. will not accept that the app has been updated if one installs the exact same version from account downloads , in which case it might take a further round of procedures to make N.A. shut up about the updating the already installed version…

Did you try the Traktor Crashes troubleshooter ?

I turn off the wifi and its work. I hope they will solve also this bug or problem however is called.
