Calibrate Tempofader

Hi@All,

is there any known way, to calibrate the Tempofaders @ Kontrol S4 MK3?

As you can see, i have to slide the fader a bit under the middle to reach the worth sero in Traktor Pro. But its only the right fader affected. I use the absolute mode. Holding shift and adjust the fader didnt work. Change to relative mode to work around the Problem ist no option for me because i Dj in Absolute Mode.

Question to NI: Is it such a big thing to add tempo fader calibration?

Are there any ideas to solve the issue?

the MK3 has been discontinued. This is also an annoyance on mine. The center position is always different. I’ve been trying to work out a qml fix, but it’s starting to look like a hardware defect. My donor part mk3 has the same issue.

@RafyDJ I havent fixed it until now but Im in touch with the NI Support. Can you explain what "I make FX and Mixer" means?

@myalteredsoul I agree, that must be an abberation in Hardware, because only the right fader of my S4 is affected. But there must be a possibility to calibrate them in the software like Mixer and Effects section is…

What happens if you set the tempo to 0 on the screen, unmap the tempo slider, move the physical SLIDER to zero on the S4, then remap the tempo control to the tempo slider?

Keep Shift pressed and move the slider. This won't change the pitch and allow you to reposition it wherever you want.

You may need to be in the 'relative' mode in the S4 prefs.

You should read the first post ;-) He does not want to use relative mode.

One solution is to 'overmap' the faders with the corresponding pitch control command. I did this for my S4MK3's gain knobs. This centers the controls correctly.
