This is a serious request to the development team. I hope this gets read. I have several points regarding Maschine, and I’m almost certain that I’m speaking on behalf of the entire community.
NI has Traktor, and you guys should implement certain features from Traktor into the Maschine software, similar to what Serato did by integrating some features from Serato DJ in Serato Studio.
- BPM and key sync should be included.
- The audio plugin and the sampler plugin should be unified into one.
- Stem separation is good, but when it’s separated, you end up with multiple individual waves. This can be useful in some cases, but most people just want to extract, for example, the vocals or drums from a sample. So there should be an option to perform stem separation while only isolating, for example, the drums and vocals, while keeping thr single wave file (the sample). Serato handled this well by allowing stems to be turned on or off manually within the same sample, instead of creating multiple separate waves files like Maschine and other DAWs do.
- Additionally, a linear arrange view would be great. It technically already exists, but I mean a true linear view with wave files, not the Scene-based workflow we currently have. In practice it comes down to the same thing, but visually it’s much easier, especially for newcomers who are just entering the ecosystem. An option to choose this type of arrange view would be great.
