Native access install failed

I couldn’t take it anymore. Every time I launched Maschine or Komplete Kontrol, it took at least 5 minutes for the application to start. I decided to reinstall Windows and install Native Access on a clean system.

Now I have a problem: Native Access won’t install. “NTKDaemon failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges…”

I tried everything I found in the community. I’m starting to lose patience. What am I supposed to do now? I just want to use the products I paid for and work (like in any other software without issues), not dig around in a PC that I don’t even understand.

If you are referring to Maschine 3 software then minimum requirements are Intel i5 CPU or equivalent. Same goes for the Komplete bundle software… Otherwise then yes it sounded as you might have had a software problem…

If you do not understand your own computer then there could exist a number of issues and we would have to go into a lot of details. Since NI Support have a tool that collect information then perhaps it would be easier if you contacted support ?

Anyway then you are supposed to have been downloading and installing the latest version of Native Access for your OS . The NTKDaemon for that I have attached the installer for here :

Restart PC then please unzip and run the installer as an Admin to see if that will install the NTKDaemon.

Of course I installed the latest version of Native Access, and I clearly wrote that I have an Intel i7.

Well - he had lots to say. The message is - contact NI support.

What exactly are you expecting anyone to say? That someone can solve your issue for you?

These are user-to-user peer forums. No one here has any insight (or capability) to know what is wrong with your machine - especially if you are not comfortable with the basic operation of the OS (by your own admission).

The only thing for you to do now - is to consider getting a ticket started and let NI support assist you.

I contacted support of course.
I have never had any problems with any other company, but NI is a big problem.
I am really curious what support will solve

Actually what I had to 'say' sort of were not said since I couldn't upload the file that I wanted to upload for you and what I wrote with respect to the N.A: version were both to make sure that you had tried to install the correct version (which you - of course - did not write that you did when originally posting) but I also needed to establish that the file that I meant to upload were for the newest version of NA (the NTKDaemon needs to be the correct version for the NA version).

Also you are ignoring that I can not help that the forum software will not let me upload the file , it has been reported but that does not help in this particular moment.

Anyway , as VP pointed out then , in case that installing the file that I wanted to upload didn't help then you should contact support. Since you have already done that then you should just wait for NI Support to assist.

@wndr . I just managed to upload the NTKDaemon file , when ZIP naming a number 8 were left out by mistake , it should read NTKDaemon 1.28.0 Setup PC , but it is the correct version 1.28.0 for the newest version 3.22.0 of Native Access.

Please try to install it as described in the above : Restart PC then please unzip and run the installer as an Admin to see if that will install the NTKDaemon.

This is a permissions issue as far as I can see. Windows Home is notorious for this sort of thing.

There is also the issue of having the required Visual Studio C++ redistributable libraries in place as well - which are required for correct Native Access installations.

Again - without knowing what you have done, how you installed the OS, what settings you have in play and so on - only NI support can determine what is up here.

couple of common windows tips

1} launch terminal as admin and type SFC /scannow

2} run the ntk demon file above, after unzip, as admin

Thank you for your responses. Anyway, I'm lost.
I installed the same windows that I had years ago. Everything worked for years.
One thing I did was replace the old processor in the PC with a newer one.
Everything else works. Fl studio without a problem...
I'm waiting for a response from support.

Issue with Native Access installation:

after 3-4 days of frustration and missing the free gifts, i finally got the update to work.

Here is the link to the support post that worked for me. I am a MAC user and ex AVID/M-Audio Tech Support. The update 3.22.0 has an issue for both MAC and PC users.
