Using Kontakt 8 with 6 instruments

Hello if i use the kontakt 8 player to get the Electric Neon instrument will it cause problems with legacy kontakt 6 PLAY instruments like Analog Dreams, Cloud Supply, Hybrid Keys?

The reason I ask is that the last time Native Access updated it broke these instruments - i am afraid to update Native Access to get Kontakt Player 8 if I need too.

Native access seems to update on its own if you open it . Have these problems with legacy instruments been fixed?

That would be because you updated these instruments so you should not update these instruments as long as you intend to use them with Kontakt 6.

Installing Electric Neon instrument and Kontakt 8 Player ought not screw up the functionality of not updated instruments/libraries as long as you do not update them.

Also : Notes about Auto-Migration of Kontakt Versions in DAW Projects (Auto-migration ought not hapen as long as that you have the old plugin version Kontakt 6 installed)

Agreed with @PoorFellow - Kontakt 8 Player will open ALL the instruments you listed.

But if there is any reason that you need to continue to use Kontakt 6 - be sure to never allow Native Access to ever update these instruments - if you do - you will only be able to use them with Kontakt Plater 8.

Trying to navigate two versions of Kontakt is cumbersome but if your DAW does not permit auto-migration - you really have no choice.
