I’m wanting to import midi files that contains only one track (drums) and have those midi notes get mapped to separate sound slots within a group. If I drop the midi file onto the group, Maschine will auto-split the midi data and put each row of midi notes onto its own sound slot which is what I want.
The problem however is when there’s more than 16 distinct midi pitches in the file because Maschine can only assign up to 16 sound slots per group so this results in some midi data not being imported properly. Is there a better way to handle this in Maschine or would I need to re-map the midi notes in the original midi file to only span 16 pitches?
