Multiple velocity zones in MIDI mode

I use a Maschine in MIDI mode in combination with drum software. For one pad, I want to be able to trigger an open snare hit on lower velocities and a rimshots for higher velocities. Is there a way to have multiple velocity zones for one pad in MIDI mode with a Maschine? If so, which Maschine has this? I have a Mikro but willing to upgrade for this feature.

Hello,

maschine can do that of course, all versions, it sends out different velocities on every note depending on how strong you bang the pad and of course dependend on the settings. But your drum software has to make what you want, the drum software has to have velocity layers and all that. So what drum software do you use?
