Recently, bought a used Machine MK3 from guitar center. I had a few options but chose GC since I could finance the payment - was also aware that there is a licensing transfer process so I thought they would take the proper steps to unregister the product for it to be ready to use for the new owner.
This wasn't the case though, upon trying to 'Add Serial' via Native Access, I was given the "This serial has already been registered…" error.
I've submitted a ticket for this using NI support but it's been more 48 hours without any response. I submitted all the requested documents; proof of purchase, hardware serial ect.
I'm confused on what the standard protocol for this scenario would be. Guitar Center in this case is the reseller I'm guessing of the Hardware device? So there's no software being sold at the point of sale? Does NI expect us to pay for the Maschine software so we can use the hardware? Why doesn't GC require sellers to unregistered their device.
I tried looking for a Live Agent number but couldn't find any. Was wondering how long this process could take.
