MX2 controller sound quality

Good evening, I purchased the new MX2 controller and noticed that the sound quality is significantly inferior to that of the very old Z1 controller. Both controllers are used with Traktor and as a simple sound card for listening to Spotify, YouTube, etc. Is there a way to fix this, perhaps by waiting for new drivers, otherwise I'll be forced to sell the controller immediately. Thank you very much.

why would you sell it instead of return it?

What specific sound quality issues are you seeing?

I don't think it can be returned. The main flaw I find is a muddy sound, the kick isn't clear and the output power isn't high. All this when compared to the Native Z1 (2016) with the same monitor speakers.

the MX2 has not been out long enough to be beyond any shop return windows.

Provide a recording of the output here. If you do a comparison recording between the z1 and mx2, be sure to record the output of each using the same audio interface.

If bought directly from NI then please contact N.I. Support (all) and file your complaint (including any return claim) , else do the same to shop where you bought and have them help figure out if what you need is a fix or a return..

Mhh, the reviewer of my choice Mojaxx tested the mx2. He had many complains (about the software) but said the sound quality was decent.

This sounds odd, as the mx2 has it's own power, while z1 is powered via USB.

Maybe you have a hardware defect?

I don't believe in a hardware defect, I think it's NI's choice; I can't even return the controller to the seller because it's not broken, it's simply the sound quality and power that don't satisfy me. Thanks everyone for the replies, I hope for a solution with software and driver updates.

Did you buy the controller online or in a retailer? If it was online and you're in the EU you have a right of return within 14 days. Not sure if that helps, but worth looking into.

I bought the controller in a store and it's not possible to return it. I'll only be able to sell it at a lower price, obviously. Thanks again.

Then please politely contact N.I. Support (all) and file your complaint (including any return claim) and tell why you are unhappy and that the store will not let you return the unit.

Then either N.I. should help you by taking a look at the assumed audio quality problem or they might help you get a return (who knows)
