Hoping someone has tried this out
I am trying the 2 Z1 for 4 deck control and only native options possible seems to be A/B or C/D, but this is not convenient for a four deck setup.
Am I missing something?
You are not. Natively, those are the only options.
A forum users has provided us with a prelimenary Deck-Combo mod to allow the others. It's not perfect (yet) but looks usable. I may pick up where the user has left off if this is not worked on anymore in a few months. Trouble is that i don't own a Z1 (for testing).

Is there anything to keep in mind before editing QML?
E.g. Does that mean as Traktor makes version updates my changes will be lost or have to be reapplied?
Yes, after Traktor updates you will have to re-apply your QML changes. Save them somewhere else and copy them back after an update.
Hi, just reporting back after trying this mod. It works well. Instructions were a bit unclear, so I am going to clarify on the original thread the exact steps I took to get it to work.
Happy with how this works. Overall, I haven't encountered any bugs, and it seems to work the way I would expect it to .. Intuitively hope NI just incorporates this into one of the upcoming releases so we don't need to mod it.
