I need help with the serial number for my Maschine

I had a Maschine MK1 years ago and it is registered under my account at Native Instruments. It died and would cost more to fix than purchase a used one. I did purchase a used one and the seller does not have the serial number. Your AI bot for chat said that I could purchase a the MK2 software with license. How do I go about doing this?

The bot is clearly having another bad day. You can't currently buy the Maschine 2 software as it's discontinued, and current Maschine 3 doesn't support MK1/MK2 hardware. If you had a MK1 registered you should still have access to whatever version of Maschine software you had at the time.

You can contact N.I. Support (all) and politely ask if you could get the version of Maschine that you need as a complimentary version of Maschine on top if you buy the Maschine 3 software. I can't say if they will allow it but N.I. Support are those in charge of such things. Just remember to ask before buying in case they can not allow it to happen.

I have been trying to get in touch with support for 4 days now. No response to any tickets. I am trying to purchase Maschine V2 software. It is supposed to work with Maschine MK1. I guess I am going to have to throw it in the trash and purchase a drum/bass machine from a different company. I will not do business with NI ever again.

Please do NOT open multiple threads concerning same issue.

Also do not open multiple tickets on same issue , it will only cause delays.

Did you get a ticket confirmation when opening the ticket ? If so then N.I: support should get back to you in a few days.

@wrsenter There might be a misunderstanding here. Let me explain. We do not sell Maschine 2 software anymore, only Maschine 3 software. You usually get the existing software, in this case Maschine 2 software automatically when registering the device. If the seller does not have the serial you can't register it. Do you already have the device in your possession? There should be a serial on it or at least some numbers. Please take a picture and send it to my colleagues (in request 4622901). These will help my colleagues to identify the device, get in touch with the previous owner and register it to you when possible. I see your tickets in here, my colleagues will get back to you as soon as possible. No need for multiple tickets for the same issue, it only slows down the process. I'll follow your case.
