What the hell have you guys done with the page showing my serial numbers? How do I get them now? Why did you hide them and why?
Hey guys,
I checked this issue with the team and it seems like this happens with the registered serials. Even though it is not visible in the website, it will stay in your Native Access no matter what. So, if you login to the correct account that you have these products, everything should work perfectly.
Also, if you wish to have this serial somewhere, in case of anything, you can check it the "License Transfer", then " Transfer a serial" section (as shown in the screenshots below) and you will be able to find the serial numbers there.
We have sent this situation to the related team and they will find a way to optimise this situation and I will let you know when we have a next step.
Meantime, this is what I can suggest. Sorry for any inconvenience that this situation may have been caused.
I hope this helps☺️
Hello,
chill out, no one is "hiding" pages… 😋
they are in their usual place, here:
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/my-account/my-products-serials-downloads/
Well… it is not working from some days. NI is aware of it and investigating.
This is what that page gives in the last few days:
Users have already tried different browsers, different devices, … and some reported the situation is the same everywhere.
As said, NI already confirmed the issue
If OP created a thread asking about it, maybe there’s a reason…
As already written by LiF then it's a N.i. (server) issue that N.I. will fix as soon as possible…
Just as information: this happens also for the Not Registered section (as your own screenshot shows) and those will not appear even with the “License transfer workaround”.
Therefore people wanting to register any “Not Registered” item are not able to do it at all.
All this just to say that the next step should be a priority and come quite fast ☺️
Apparently it was a deliberate action, for security reasons - which was not announced before, during or after (even it seems within NI, not everyone knew) except recently on Discord by Kaiwan….
Yes , Kaiwan_NI now says that serials has been hidden intentionally for security reasons :
Quote Kaiwan_NI , Discord , 2025-09-03 :
It's actually not a bug. We hid them for security reasons. Folks were screenshotting and sharing them around (you might’ve seen on the forum). You can still see the serials on the License Transfer page tho.
I don’t know if Kaiwan knew what she was talking about.
Mert here says he is in contact with the team and calls it “an issue” and says that the team is working on it.
I would frankly find quite strange having a page which should show serials (like every other company has) not showing serials… and just because few unaware users sometimes post them.
And the solution would be even more strange: hiding serials for products already registered (which therefore can’t be registered anymore) and making unregistered products serials (which we would need in order to register them) completely inaccessible (they can’t be seen even with the “License transfer” workaround). Yes… definitely a strange solution to a nonexistent problem
In any case, someone from NI here is giving answers without knowing what he (or she) is talking about…
If you follow the link to the Discord post referred to above and then subsequently the conversation on Discord you will see that I already informed Kaiwan_NI about what Mert_NI wrote.
.
Bottom line is:
Whatever might be the reason, serials must be visible!
It's common sense.
If some people are naive or stupid and post them online with screen-shots, that's not NI's or anyone else's problem.
Problem could be solved by people having to actively click on product name on the list or on an arrow to make the serial unfold to the right , or click on a 'Click to show serial' text to the right of product name. It does not have to be either or.
Hello LostInFoundation, yes it seems like that which was not planned it seems, I already report this in the start of week so our team is working on a fix on that. I'm calling this an issue as even though some part of it was intentional, this not went as it is intended. So our team is working to optimize it. Sorry for any inconvenience this issue may have been caused.
Thank you for your feedback about this subject.
Thank you.
While you’re on the case… if removing the serials from “My products and serials” page was intentional because few users sometimes naively post them… tell them that’s a BAD idea… ☺️
