I have bought and downloaded Kontakt 8, but I still have no library inside Kontakt 8?

Hello, I'm new to Kontakt and I am having trouble with my library. I bought Kontakt 8 recently for £269 and have downloaded the native instruments app on MacOS. On the app, I have installed Kontakt 8, which opens a seperate 'Kontakt 8' application where all the sounds I bought should be. But when I go on the Kontact 8 library, there is nothing there? I have asked for the AI's help and it tells me to do something to do with Full Disk access? This wasn't the solution. Just not sure what I'm doing wrong…

Besides installing Kontakt 8 did you then install Kontakt Factory Library 2 using latest version of Native Access for your OS ?

Else then you can also try reinitialize the KONTAKT 8 Database to see if that helps. Please run Kontakt standalone version at least once after any install to update the app database prior to using it in a DAW.

Otherwise then please define "I still have no library" , what do you expect to see that is missing ?

Also what is your computer type and exact OS version ?

When I say I have no library, I mean I have installed Kontakt 8 from the Native Access app on my computer but then when I click the button to open up kontakt 8 from there, I'm supposed to have loads of sounds inside of The Kontakt app right? Isn't that what I payed for? I expect to see the 1.7 GB that it says is in there. I have a macOS Sonoma version 14.4.1 and have a MacBook Pro with an M1 chip. Thank you for your help.

Not exactly sure what "1.7 GB" you are referencing (maybe the Factory 2 Library?" but Kontakt (the app) - is just that - the app. It would be completely empty - until you actually add libraries to it.

Besides installing Kontakt 8 did you then install Kontakt Factory Library 2 using latest version of Native Access for your OS ? Kontakt Factory Library 2 comes free with the full version of Kontakt 8 ! .

Says where ? Also then as you can see on my picture (previously posted) then you are supposed to install the Kontakt Factory Library 2 (which by the way is 40 GB). On my computer (Windows PC) Kontakt 8 by itself says to take up 1.16 GB of space by itself . And for space taken by Kontakt 8 installation then some of the space could have been taken by 'Tools' and 'Leap' (?)

Did you try reinitialize the KONTAKT 8 Database to see if that helps. (Would still require you to have had installed something 'sounds' , e.g. Kontakt Factory Library 2 , for it to show in the first place)
