Maschine MK3 - Machine central + Maschine 3 are missing in my library

As mentioned i also have created a ticket regarding missing Machine 3 and Maschine Central in my Native Access 2 library or in my NI account.

    Did you register your MK3 AFTER Maschine 3 was released?

    Hi, i am unsure what you mean but try to elaborate. I bought the device second hand and read that MK3 gets Maschine 3 and Maschine central. From your answer i understand this is not the case?

    I read quite a few post of people that were helped by NI staff to obtain the (free upgrade?) to Maschine 3.

    I think the unit was registered previously (to the former owner) and that was before Maschine 3 came out.

    Second hand units will inevitably have originally shipped with Maschine 2 software (at this point in time anyway) so no, MK3 doesn't "get" Maschine 3 software and Maschine Central unless it's a new MK3.

    Maschine 3 is not a free upgrade from version 2.

    Support will hopefully provide you with access to Maschine 2 software free of charge.

    From you saying “I think the unit was registered previously”, it seems to me that you didn’t even registered it to your account (if that’s the case, it’s normal that you don’t get any software: how they could even know you own a Maschine?).

    If you didn’t, do it. Previous owner should have made a License transfer. If he didn’t, contact support and explain the situation to see if they can help you.

    At that point (once the MK3 is registered to your account), I’m not that sure as somebody else seems to be about which software will be added to your account (Maschine 2 or Maschine 3).

    I suppose you will get the same software as previous owner (therefore probably Maschine 2), but it’s not stated anywhere that second hand MK3 registered after the release of Maschine 3 will not get the new version. At least as far as I know.

    Only support can solve your issue

    Hi, thanks for your answer. The unit Hardware is in my name and was of course, registered to someone else before. Because i see several posts of peopel with second hand units getting the upgrade i wa unsure. I already had the Maschine 2 software before buying my hardware. I have the ticket and will post the findings from NI staff here.

    Same here, previous owner did the transfer to me and I can see it now in my profile with the correct serial no. I even tried adding it a couple of times to my native access but it didn't work

    If anything is missing in Native Access then

    first check the MY PRODUCTS, SERIALS, AND DOWNLOADS page to be sure that you actually have the missing product added to your account and then make sure that you are logged into the same account in Native Access.

    If product is on account but missing in Native Access then make sure that the missing product is actually compatible with the OS (it will not show in N.A. if not compatible) : Compatibility of Native Instruments Products on macOS

    Then be sure to be using latest version of Native Access for your OS

    Else then if product is on account but missing in N.A. then try resetting the Native Access XML file , look at section 8 here : My Product is Missing in Native Access

    Dear fellow MK3 users, thanks for your kind help. I'll just remark that from the last post by Poorfellow, i took all the steps, including removing the xml file. Maschine 3 software does not show in my library.

    Like said before I have seen multiple posts where users got Maschine 3 in their library aftr help from Native instruments staff. I created the ticket initially and am awaiting their answer.

    Hi Guys,


    I just bought a brand new Maschine mk3 and entered the serial number on Native Access, but the Maschine 3 software doesn’t show up in my library… I am unsure of what is preventing the app from showing up in the library.. any suggestions?
