Maschine pedal for guitarists
This is the workflow for creating custom beats on the Boss RC 10-R (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvYEyoQn1Eg). I have that pedal, and my problem is - I use a lot of self-created Maschine and Kontakt beats and as far as I can tell
1. none of the backing rhythm guitar pedals (RC-10R, Beat Buddy, etc) make it easy to create and use your own rhythms
2. its even harder to apply custom sounds and samples to those rhythms (even if you input a midi rhythm the device either only offers built-in sounds or has an even more convoluted path to bring in sounds as well)
3. hence no easy way to get maschine beats onto backing tracks for a guitarist in a way that is easy to use them
4. maschine as-is (or with minor adjustments) would be super well-suited as a tool to help guitarists easily work with beats including samples in backing tracks, and would only require the new pedal hardware (which could be a similar 2 pedal setup)
5. it would drive a whole new set of users (guitar players) to buy expansions for the rhythms and the sounds
6. it would likely help NI woo more guitarists and maybe find fruitful ways to connect guitar rig sounds and ALL the NI sounds and samples. NI has similar amp/effect libraries to Line6 and Boss, but has no pedal to apply them in non-recording settings.
7. Guitar > synth options are still potentially underrepresented in the market and to my knowledge guitar > sample doesn't really exist.
My 2 cents - if you work on it sign me up to be a beta tester!

Based on that video, it seems like just exporting the MIDI from a Maschine Group/Kit into that converter thing, then having the HW sending the MIDI back to Maschine (or kontakt) should work fine, in what step of the process are you stuck?
Also, if the point is just triggering different sections, you can just buy any MIDI Pedal, anything that sends MIDI can trigger Sections/Scenes in Maschine, where your Patterns/MIDI live… The only requirement is that the pedal (or whatever MIDI device) has to be able to send the right notes (starts on C-2). This feature is called 'MIDI Change.'
