Is it possible to save a corrupted project?

My laptop shutdown with a project open and now it crashes every time I try and open it.

    See if by any chance the automatic backup function (if you have it enabled) saved a working copy, on Windows, I think it's here:

    C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Native Instruments\Maschine 2\Projects

    I had something similar happen to me once (before auto save) and thought that I could probably extract some information from the corrupt file or send it to the Maschine dev team for further analysis. But it turned out that the file was empty.

    Check out the size of the Project file. If it’s very small or empty, then there was a (file system) failure during writing and there’s nothing to recover.

    Thanks for the responses guys.

    @D-One there's no projects folder in that location so I guess no auto save set up.

    @ozon the file size looks about right, I've raised a ticket with NI so hopefully there's a shot at recovery
