Native access / Maschine mk3

unfortunately after several weeks after I purchased the - my mk3 cannot get this hardware to work at all. On two different Apple devices, My MacBook Pro m1 laptop. Or my iPad Pro. Sixth generation. I’ve downloaded Apple drivers. Not sure what driver to use ? Intel. Or Sillicon.

Firstly, a couple of things reading what your wrote in your profile (and even here):

• Maschine MK3 will NEVER work with your iPad directly. It is not class compliant. Only its internal audio interface can be recognized by an iPad. The only way to use it as a controller is plugging it to a computer (where its drivers are), put it in midi mode and have something (a program, iDAM,…) send that midi to the iPad (also pugged in the computer).
  
• Are you so sure that going the M+ way will make you happier? M+ has a lot of other issues…
  But on one thing I can reassure you: with a M+ at least you will have the possibility to plug your iPad to the USB B port and have midi in and out, even if in a different way. You will have Maschine software inside M+ controlling iPad apps and iPad apps controlling Maschine software inside M+. It’s a workaround (and a very nice thing to have…check other threads here in the forum where I underline which fantastic workflows can be achieved) that will make you be able to use the 2 devices together, but IT’S NOT using M+ in midi mode to control iPad apps (since that is not possible). M+ will always be controlling Maschine software inside of it, and that software will be sending/receiving midi to/from ipad. Maybe it’s even better, but not the same thing.

That said… about your other issues also with using it with a computer… since you say you bought it second hand… did previous owner make the License Transfer and provided you with the License ID? (Or…if you don’t know it… have you simply tried to put the serial number underneath your device in Native Access to see if it has been unregistered from his account?)

If the answer is no, you must contact previous owner and ask him to do it, or if you can’t, contact NI support and explain the situation asking them to help you.

On top of all of this, since you seem a little confused about the steps to take to make it work and install its software (and even what you can do with MK3 and what not), I would make a search to see what this is all about. (Hint: it all revolves around Native Access, the “all NI products manager”)
