Can't Uninstall 3rd Party Library (Heavyocity)

Hey NI,

I needed to uninstall the Heavyocity Foundations libraries so I can reinstall them. They're not loading properly. But, I can't uninstall them. When I try, I get an error that says, "Path not safe to remove" and it won't let me uninstall. I tried looking for the XML files, but I'm not sure where third-party library XML files reside, rather than the NI folder in Application Support with native libraries. I moved the libraries completely to a new disk and didn't let Native Access find them and tried to delete that way and no dice, so it seems to be an issue with Native Access itself rather than disk access (both Access and NK Daemon have full disc access so that shouldn't be an issue anyway). Last, I uninstalled and reinstalled Native Access entirely and tried again, but no dice.

This all started because said Libraries were coming up with an error that the Instrument file in the Kontakt library couldn't be found. I navigated to both folders and pointed to the file, but they still wouldn't load in Kontakt. It would load like 4 of the sliders, but that's it, no GUI, no sounds, nothing. Reinstalled Kontakt as well, and it's still happening with certain libraries but not others. I also tried loading the library manually instead of using the Kontakt library picker (load library > point to folder > select the instrument file) and that failed as well.

Eventually, I've managed to get the libraries working (thankfully) but just wanted to give you a heads-up in case I ever want to uninstall in the future that it won't allow me to do so and is giving me this error, and I've only seen it once here on the forum, so I figured I'd let you know in case it will help you prevent issues with further users (even though I got my libraries working). It's a rather odd issue.

Cheers,
Joe
