Maschine Studio controller and 3.1.1 software - User Chords not working.

User Chords appears broken in Maschine Studio controller and 3.1.1 software. There doesn't seem to be any documentation on how to do this on the studio, but I've seen a video with the the MK3 and still can't can't get it to work.

Steps to repro.

Use FM8, goto PAD mode, make sure "keyboard" is selected, select "Chd Set" using the third dial, validate that it works. Now select "User Chd" with the same dial.
Now we have 12 pads light up white, we see 12 chord banks on the right hand display, no sounds come out when pressing pads, nothing seems selected. Can't seem to do anything, There doesn't seem seem to be anywhere where I can create new user chords to play back here.

Can specifically Maschine Studio users please test and see if they can create and playback user chords using the studio controller. If you can xaler me know how you did it within the controller.

Thanks.

(Please respond if you've tested this with a MASCHINE STUDIO controller only). Thx!

on the studio and jam you can’t create user chords only play them, I think you need to create them in the software, I’ve not actually checked them out yet , but I do remember certain controllers didnt fully support it

    hmmm thanks.

Is there documentation somewhere that shows us what is and isn't supported in Maschine 3 for the Studio and Jam?

Because, well er… they could make this up as they go along, and there will be no consistency at the end of the day. IMHO if the controller is supported and capable it should be fully implemented (not half like it is now). NI have already told us what controllers it isn't supporting for V3 and Jam/Studio isn't on the list.

yeah only the mk3 and + , so you need to get someone to export them I guess

So I can play user chords but I can't create them :) That's crazy and hilarious at the same time.

That's like having a printer capable of printing that doesn't have any socket or wireless connection.

Whilst it's clear in your reference there is nothing about it here…

    https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/22340275738653-Ending-software-support-for-earlier-generations-of-Maschine

"These are still supported, and will be supported in the upcoming Maschine 3, although some workflows for Jam will change." - that's it.

Apparently Maschine 3 is still "upcoming" 🤔

So I guess it's NI's policy to half bake features into old controllers so it looks like it's supported. Anyway appreciate the help.

NI if you are listening either you support these controllers to the best of their ability or you don't.

yeah it’s a bit silly that you can’t at least set it up in the software , I think the data is in the form of a .json file , so I think if you can get one of those , you can edit it to your liking, just need an example and to know where it’s stored
